Natural Snow Buildings - The Centauri Agent
The Centauri Agent is a brand-new, free-for-download double LP from Natural Snow Buildings, released on my label Vulpiano Records. As I have mentioned before, I got in touch with Mehdi and Solange, who have been so very cool to me, from writing about their music in an Artist Feature for Sleepwalking Mag in July 2009. As I genuinely adore their music and have included them many times in past articles here at A Future in Noise (Favorite Albums of the 2000s, Shadow Kingdom review, Under the Radar Albums 2009, 15 Brilliant Out-of-Print Albums), I am quite honored to have this as part of the Vulpiano catalog.
On part one, the 41 minute “Our man from Centauri” sets the stage, a cosmic, sprawling opener with themes that continue on into “The accidental remote viewer”, before fizzling out into static. Part two is comprised of nine beautiful and intense tracks, starting with melancholy and delicate tracks "The Psychic Circle/Uchronia" and. "Black holes". “The storm of resurrection” begins distorted and almost frightening, like thunder crashing in a more musical form, before drifting out into calmer sonic fields. "Moscow signal" introduces a stronger acoustic presence, and while "Phantom twin" is as peaceful as the preceding track, it is certainly icier. "Stuttering probe" is the most spacey of the Centauri tracks, some sounds constant, some elements spiraling around the melody. "Solar flares", my favorite on the album, strikes me as a mellower "Carnal Flowers" (Daughter of Darkness), with an added haunting spark. "Emergency network farewell broadcast" is awash in static, with voices and instruments rising up out of the sea of swirling noise. "Memories found in a bill from a small animal vet" closes the album and represents Centauri very well overall - lovely and intricately woven as ever, while frequently heading off into new and challenging sonic territory. Mehdi and Solange have created yet another very special work of musical art with The Centauri Agent!

Kudos.
Another excellent album from them. I think I prefer the second part at the moment but that may change over time.
The start of 'The storm of resurrection' doesn't really appeal but it doesn't take long to turn into something fantastic.
Can't understand how they keep churning these albums out. There are barely flaws in any of them...
Thanks for this album - and thanks to NSB for allowing it to be free (needing cheap releases this year).
another great album

I'm still recovering from my space/time travel. This album was
just what i needed. Absolutly mindblowing. Thanks for sharing such a galactic jewel.
ssible to fix the mediafire link for the mp3 version? It gives an error now. Thanks!
In the centre of the first picture the overuse of bright scarlet red in the Hogan
is linked with the hogan donna
Interactive in silver snake-print. Apparently Hogan scarpe uomo
had extra spikes put in his Hogan uomo
for extra grip.
